Telus Field is found on nearly all Edmonton maps. It's just south of the heart of downtown on the river flats just north of the river. What's often not shown is the "spaghetti" or one way streets that make getting there somewhat difficult. The approach from downtown funnels you to either to southbound Rossdale Rd. or eastbound 97 Ave. NW (if coming from the "capitol building"). In most cases you will end up on southbound 104 Ave. and make a U-turn loop onto northbound Rossdale Rd. You may find yourself making a loop or two if you don't make a wide left (U) turn to make the turn to the ballpark itself.

It's also not hard to end up, if driving south past the provincial capitol (109 St.) to end up crossing the river with no obvious way back. Once across the river keep left and follow the first left onto Walterdale Hiway NW and follow it across the river. Once back on the north side of the Saskatchewan it becomes Rossdale making it easy to get to the ballpark.

What landmarks should I look for?

96 Ave. NW is also John Ducey Way

Since the ballpark is on the river flats it's fairly easy to spot as you descend the river bluffs (either side) towards the river. Immediately next to the stadium is a large power station and water treatment plant. The row of smokestacks of the EPCOR power station along with the light towers of the stadium are easy landmarks for finding your way once at "river level."

The plantsare between Telus Field and the river itself. There is no public entrance, cross street or way between or around these plants. Traffic is restricted to Rossdale Rd. which passes by all of them

What you should bring with you?

As in Calgary, any night has the potential to be cool or chilly. Unlike it's rival to the south, it's somewhat distant from the mountains so the weather is somewhat more predictible though not significantly warmer.

The sun is a major factor to consider when going to the Telus Field. Sunglasses., unless it's cloudy are highly recommended. The sun sets late and most seats face into the setting sun.

Sunscreen is also strongly recommended for day games. There is no shade until sunset and even with a jacket on you should protect your face and arms.
