Which seats are for you?

Recommended seating for visitors
  • Reserved Grandstand Sections 102-114
  • Lawn GA (THE choice if you're bringing kids!)

Even with a sellout, an early arrival should get you a great spot on the lawn around the visiting team bullpen.

Ticket sales have been very good but attendance has been well below the stated capacity of 6,195. Odd sections are on the first base side. Even on the third base side. Section 101 is directly behind home plate.

Club & Box Reserved Seating

Grandstand

Main Grandstand with sky boxes

As you should expect with a new stadium, seating and sightlines are excellent. A reserved seat gives you a nice, flip down seat and a good view.

Club section, sold out for the 2002 season (and probably for several more to come), are distinct from "simple" reserved by permanent cushions as well as service. These are the first five rows of the sections near home plate.

Skyboxes are nice (and air conditioned) and available for groups if reserved in advance.

SRO / Lawn General Admission

First and third base sides beyond grandstand

Right Field Berm

These are typical sloped, grassy berms that are a natural extension of the grandstand seating. The right field berm ends near the outfield wall to make space for an access road from the street to the field. The left field berm slopes up to the out field picnic areas.

As with other sloping berms, the slope itself is a playground though the JackHammers have a "real one" at concourse level in the northwest corner of the facility. It's also next to an inflated pitching skill game and "bouncy room." For these reasons, and the addition space to run around, the third base berm is best for kids and families.

Day of Game Purchase

As mentioned earlier, for the inaugural season Joliet fans haven't tested the capacity of Silver Cross Field quite yet. As a result day of game tickets shouldn't be a problem. Thanks to the berms there is little need for SRO options since there should be plenty of grass available if the grandstand is sold out.

Entrance / Box Office Locations

The ticket booth is across from the railroad tracks

The ticket office near the entrance (left side) on Mayor Art Schultz Drive across the street from the elevated railroad tracks. You have to go around the left "pillar" to find it (the JackHammer Pro Shop is on the right side on Jefferson Ave). There are several ticket windows facing the street as well as two inside the street entrance.

The impressive MAIN entrance for most fans and opens one hour before game time. The WEST entrance is first used for groups using the picnic tents in the outfield and open earlier. They can be used if the Mayor Schultz Dr. isn't itself booked for an event. The south entrance (on Jefferson) is reserved for season ticket holders.
